Why refreshing the whole browser page in Odoo is a daily frustration
Every Odoo user who works in a live, multi-user environment knows the situation. A colleague updates a record. A background automation runs and changes a field. Overview
The Instant View Refresh module adds a dedicated Refresh button to Odoo 15.0's tree (list), form, and kanban views. When clicked, the button fetches and reloads the current view's data directly from the database without triggering a full browser page reload. The Odoo interface, navigation state, active filters, and current position all remain exactly as they were. Only the data displayed in the view is updated, reflecting the latest state from the server in the same way a manual browser refresh would but significantly faster, and without losing any session context. The feature is available across all three primary Odoo view types. In tree view, the list data refreshes in place. In form view, the current record's fields and related data are updated without navigating away. In kanban view, the cards and their statuses refresh without collapsing or resetting the board. No configuration is required after installation the Refresh button appears automatically across supported views and is immediately available to all users.
